retailTRUST Celebration 2016

  • Amount raised £1,000,000
  • Charity? retailTRUST
  • Where? Old Billingsgate, London

On 28th January 2016, almost 1000 guests packed out the historic Old Billingsgate for a night of glitz and glamour, showcasing a very British ‘London’s Calling’ theme. Capital FM’s morning DJ Dave Berry did a fantastic job of hosting the evening which also featured performances from Britain’s Got Talent Revelation Avenue, comedian and pianist Kev Orkian, X Factor’s Alien Uncovered and DJ Benny Blanco. The event brought together new and loyal supporters of retailTRUST to show their support and generosity for their industry and to all who dedicate their lives to it with guests including Ian Grabiner, Don McCarthy, Harold Tillman CBE, Caprice and rugby legend Phil Vickery MBE.

The evening commenced with a champagne reception followed by a delicious three course meal, entertainment and a chance to donate to retailTRUST via a wealth of fundraising activities including a tombola with prizes from brands including Sony and Paul Smith, before the ever-popular Silent Auction and pledge.

The Grand Auction consisted of exclusive bespoke lots such as lunch at Coutts bank with Phil Vickery MBE, a week in Barbados, a signed and framed One Direction guitar, and exclusive VIP boxes to see Lionel Richie, Justin Bieber and Adele’s sold out UK tour!

The evening raised just over £1,000,000 for the retailTRUST and will enable them to continue to improve the wellbeing of all those involved in retail and related industries in the UK.

D&G Partners are proud to have supported retailTRUST this year in the full production and delivery of this event, along with table and advertising sales. This year saw D&G crew arrive at 5am at Old Billingsgate and transform a blank warehouse space into a stunning, glittering affair for the retail sector. From initial concepts through every logistical detail and to the final implementation, our D&G Productions team were on hand to manage and ensure that a goodnight was had by all.
