Arogs Annual Charity Event
CHARITY - Macmillan Cancer Support
LOCATION - Ascot Racecourse
On 28th September 2016, 108 golfers took to the beautiful Berkshire Golf Course to join in the annual Argos Charity Event in aid of Macmillan. The weather was in our favour this year and the players eagerly took to their tee off holes on the blue course and red course and enjoyed a day full of entertainment and competitions including Beat the Pro, Nearest the Pin, Longest Drive and the highlight of the day – the Pimm’s tent!
Afterwards guests enjoyed a carvery lunch whilst having the opportunity to network amongst some of the senior Argos directors and suppliers. Prize giving followed with a delighted High Street TV team who took home the Argos Event Cup.
Guests then made their way down to Ascot Racecourse where they were joined by a further 350 evening dinner guests. The evening was hosted by the fabulous George Lamb and entertainment provided by the brilliant magician Paul Martin whose trickery made sure the room was in constant awe. The main auction on the night was conducted by British Gold Medallist Dereck Redmond with lots including a Spain holiday in a gorgeous private villa, a VIP hospitality box to see the legendary Red Hot Chilli Peppers at the O2 Arena, Private Dining for 10 at Roux Restaurant, tickets for Arsenal vs PSG at the Emirates with a Sony Bravia 4K, 10 Category One tickets to England v South Africa with Jamie Oliver Hampers, and our final lot of the night, enjoying a dinner with Sainsbury’s CEO, John Rogers!
The evening was rounded off with a set from X Factor Finalist Fleur East followed by SugarKube band who ensured the dance floor stayed full! With the help of their suppliers and affiliates Argos smashed their target and raised an incredible amount of money for Macmillan.
"D&G Partners always go above and beyond which is brilliant! They have helped us not only with advertising, but table sales and some fabulous prizes for our events too. I have recommended and will continue to recommend D&G to other charities as my experience of working with them has been excellent."
